KRIPALU YOGA:
For Body, Mind, and Spirit

Yoga has been growing in popularity in the United States, with fifteen million people now practicing, a 28.5% increase over last year.

The reasons for its popularity are multifold. Yoga postures strengthen the body and make it more flexible. Coordinating movement with the breath deepens and slows the breath, while enhancing inner concentration and focus in the mind.

Practicing Kripalu Yoga will enhance balance and stability, quiet the mind, and touch the spirit through a process of stretching, yogic breathing and posture, and relaxation using guided imagery.

Items to bring:
- wear loose clothing
- an exercise mat
- large towel

Thursday, September 16 through November 23 (skip September 23), 2004
5:30-7:00pm
Fee: $100.00 for series

Facilitator: Catherine M. Jones, Ph.D., retired from North Georgia College & State University. She has taught Kripalu Yoga for over ten years, and is a Kripalu certified Holistic Health Educator and an Exercise Specialist for Older Adults.
